Review Of Mice And Men (A Novel by John Steinbeck)

Having a good friend who is not better than us is better than we are alone. That was what I got from the book that I want to review at this moment. Another simple and thin book by a good author, John Steinbeck. The book entitled Of Mice and Men which published in 1937.
Well, hi peeps! Welcome.
Overall,
this book tells about a friendship between two men named George and Lennie.
George is a little man but smart enough in thinking and do something. And
Lennie is so different, he is a big man who has got a little problem with his
mental. His habit that forgetful, and usually do something randomly sometimes
makes George mad and must be patient to talk to him to say that what he did was
not good. Of course, George loves Lennie. Because for him, Lennie still his
best friend. So that, He never do something rude physically to Lennie that will
make Lennie sad and he just give Lennie an attention and some advices in order
to not doing that thing again, because it will bring them to the dangerous. All
because they have been kicked from a farm where they worked before. So, in the
new place, George asks Lennie to be cooperative to make them save until the job
is done, and soon they will buy their dream house with all of concepts that
they agreed in each imagination.
In
short, the unwanted thing happens. Lennie makes a big mistake when all of
people in the farm are going to the city. A mistake that makes him run and hide
in the bush, and makes George do something to Lennie? What does He do to
Lennie? Ah, Mr Steinback is too smart to make the end of the story easy to
guess. Lmao.
So,
in my opinion, the book is describing about the loneliness of some characters
in the story. Then, how we as a friend who are totally different (physic and
mental) are keeping, loving, and understanding each other. And the point of
this book I think, a situation can make someone to do out of his habit. Ah, it
is good book with a simple plot, but so interesting. And so many unwritten
points of life inside.***
We
all are not good in guessing someone’s heart and feeling. Why? Because,
basically, the character of human is dynamic. So, be kind ;)
